Germline/Hereditary cancer genetic testing / Personalized medicine / Genome medicine / Precision medicine / Preventative medicine
CEN4GEN offers a large assortment of testing options for hereditary cancer, involving many organ systems, for those individuals who have a family history of cancer and are concerned about their risk of developing some form of cancer.
We offer:
- single full gene sequencing
- single gene deletion/duplication analysis
- single gene full gene sequencing and gene deletion/duplication analysis
- gene panel full gene sequencing
- gene panel deletion/duplication analysis
- gene panel full gene sequencing and gene deletion/duplication analysis
- customized testing
- known mutation analysis
Methods
We use a variety of methods, including:
- Next generation sequencing
- Array CGH
- Array SNP
- Computational analysis of next generation sequencing data to ascertain regions of deletion/duplication
- MLPA
- Sanger sequencing
- Pyrosequencing
- FISH
Specimen requirements:
Germline conditions:
2 vials of whole blood in EDTA, or saliva collected in a collection tube approved by CEN4GEN or 3 to 5 ug of DNA in TE buffer.
For FISH analysis, 2 vials of whole blood in Heparin is required.

To learn more, you must contact CEN4GEN for more information, and we will evaluate your testing needs on a case by case basis. You will need to send us the following information regarding your testing request:
a) name of condition (if known)
b) name of gene(s) (if known)
c) type of testing request: sequencing, deletion/duplication, known mutation analysis
Somatic genetic testing
CEN4GEN offers a wide spectrum of testing options for those patients who already have some form of cancer. CEN4GEN undertakes direct testing on the cancer/tumor specimen, in a procedure known as somatic genetic testing. This method is used to identify specific molecular mutations in the tumor/cancer which could assist in establishing a more precise diagnosis, understanding the tumor/cancer properties, patient prognosis, as well as tumor/cancer behavior.
We offer:
- single full gene sequencing
- single gene deletion/duplication analysis
- single gene full gene sequencing and gene deletion/duplication analysis
- gene panel full gene sequencing
